Experts from the University of Utah Department of Educational Psychology facilitated this one-day workshop on behavior management and required the training be completed in teams from the same afterschool program/site location that serve secondary-age students (ages 12-18). The Institute consisted of topics such as bullying, functions of behavior, motivational interviewing, and strategies of engagement. Based on previous attendee feedback, the Institute was extended and offered more time for team reflection and consultation with the facilitators.
