Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Teacher Professional Development

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium offers a variety of professional development workshops to engage teachers in the latest research and best practices in science education. In 2020, they are launching a new series of online workshops to assist teachers with the transition to online and hybrid learning. These workshops are free for Utah public and charter school educators, and relicensure credit is awarded for each workshop attended. These programs are supported by funding from Utah State Legislature’s Informal Science Education Enhancement (iSEE) grant and the Education Alliance Partnership in association with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Virtual Lab School 

The School-Age track is intended for early childhood professionals serving children ages 5 through 12 years in center based before- and after-school as well as summer-based programs. This track offers training and professional development resources, including written narrative, video, skill building activities, and classroom tools. The School-Age track consists of courses that mirror the core Child Development Associate (CDA) competencies plus a course on preventing child abuse and one on recognizing and reporting child abuse.
