Pay Rate: $15-$16 (depending on experience)

Part-Time during the school year (full-time available if preferred), Full time during the summer

Main hour requirements (Monday –Thursday 2:00-6:30, Friday 1:00-5:30) as well as occasional evening activities until 7:30

Position Summary

The After School Program Staff will assist in the planning and running of after school program for children grades kindergarten-6th and teen program for middle school and high school children living in the YWCA shelter and KRH Housing Program. Additionally, this staff will assist with occasional evening activities. Generally, hours will be until 6:30pm and 7:30pm.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Afterschool Coordinator in planning and managing the daily activities and behavioral management for the after-school, summer camp, and teen programs.

Assist in Teen Program; mentoring teens while providing age-appropriate lessons and activities.

Teach, reinforce and model age-appropriate social skills, provide mentoring and emotional support.

Provide constructive feedback, redirection, and discipline related to individual behaviors.

Assist in the distribution and collection of enrollment materials and daily attendance. Input participant information into database.

Report to Afterschool Coordinator or the Children’s Services Assistant Director any parent or child concerns or complaints, suspicions of child abuse/neglect, extreme acting out behaviors, health and safety concerns.
