Job Summary
The Professional Learning Systems Director will be responsible for the oversight of the Utah Afterschool Network Professional Learning System (PLS), which includes an annual two-day conference, regional trainings, eLearning Institute, and topical training events based on the needs of the afterschool field. The PLS serves the afterschool field of 3,500 professionals that impact 52,000 Utah’s youth annually.

The PLS Director will oversee the execution of all UAN professional learning events, which includes facilitating planning meetings, implementing logistical and organizational aspects of events, and communicating with colleagues, partners, presenters, venue liaisons, and volunteers. The PLS Director will also collaborate with the Utah State Board of Education and Department of Workforce Services Office of Child Care to plan aspects of the PLS. The PLS Director will report to the Executive Director.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Supervise the PLS Coordinator regarding all aspects of the Professional Learning System.
Oversee all planning and marketing aspects of virtual and in-person professional learning events, which include an annual two-day conference, regional trainings, eLearning Institute, and topical-based training events based on the needs of the afterschool field.
Create and manage the annual PLS budget that aligns with organizational strategic goals and outcomes.
Lead workgroups and/or subcommittees to organize a statewide blended learning professional development system.
Supervise the approval process for the Afterschool Professional Development Incentive.
Participate in the Department of Workforce Services Office of Child Care Professional Development Subcommittee that focuses on aligning professional development services for youth caregivers as well as the development of an afterschool credential.
Create and collect data regarding the impact of professional learning events.
Provide progress reports to the UAN Board of Directors, UAN stakeholders, as well as federal and state agencies and funders.
Collaborate with and support other statewide afterschool networks.
Participate in organizational strategic planning meetings.

Salary
Salary: $23.00 hourly/$47,840 Annual
