Organization: Utah Afterschool Network
Under the direction of the Utah Afterschool Network (UAN) Executive Director and Director of Operations, the School Alignment & Data Specialist will collaboratively work with schools and out-of-school time (OST) programs to increase partnership alignment by identifying and developing systems which (1) strengthen and enhance the communication between school administrators, teachers, and OST providers; (2) improve targeted service delivery ensuring students get the support they need in afterschool; (3) ensure targeted recruitment so afterschool is directed at the students who need it most; and (4) strengthen and support the collection and reporting of data in afterschool programs.

The School Alignment Specialist will also participate in and support various UAN initiatives related to professional learning and development, statewide technical assistance efforts, policy development, marketing, and public awareness. UAN works closely with partner agencies: United Way of Salt Lake (UWSL), Utah Department of Workforce Services Office of Child Care (DWS, OCC), Utah State Board of Education (USBE), and Utah Education Policy Center (UEPC) to increase the quality in afterschool programs.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
-Synthesize information, research, and alignment best practices, which will result in systemic solutions and updates to the alignment toolkit for school and OST partnerships.
-Participate in a variety of partnership meetings focused on school day and afterschool alignment contributing and leading various components.
-Maintain an understanding of various school/OST partnership models.
-Submit written reports detailing program consultation, notes, grant monitoring, and tracking.
-Support professional development initiatives as need is identified through outreach, planning, design, and through other duties as assigned.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with staff members at community partner organizations that capture and interact with programmatic data (City of South Salt Lake and Salt Lake County Youth Services).
-Function as the software systems administrator for our Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database including: activating and deactivating end-user accounts, designing queries and reports, monitoring data quality, training new users, and maintaining documentation on end-user agreements.
-Work with end-users to identify what an ideal software system would be to support afterschool data collection moving forward.
