Organization: Neighborhood House
Youth leaders will be responsible for planning and implementing activities for youth age 5-12 that respond to their individual needs and interests and that encourages them to develop friendships, work cooperatively, communicate effectively, and increase their self-image.
Youth leaders will offer classroom activities, team building and group activities, community service learning projects, and outdoor recreational opportunities. They will be responsible for proper supervision and interaction with youth, maintain effective group management techniques, encourage participation from all youth, and have fun!!
Youth leaders must be at least 18 years old with prior experience working with children or youth.
Must be genuinely cheerful and passionate about making a difference in the lives of elementary age children.
Must possess at least three strong leadership qualities.
Must be able to effectively communicate with parents, youth, and co-workers.
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and willing to drive a 15 passenger van daily to transport children from school.
Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a food handlers permit, and complete First Aid and CPR certification upon hire.

Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
Part Time or Full Time position, Monday thru Friday 6:30-5:30 Additional morning hours may occasionally be available, especially during school closure times.
