The Program Manager at the Best Buy Teen Tech Center works under the direction of the Promise Teen Tech Center Coordinator to utilize technology and makerspace equipment to implement project-based learning activities with Jr. High and High School aged youth.

Assist Best Buy Teen Tech Center Coordinator in managing the operation of site programs within Promise South Salt Lake's Citywide System of Afterschool with program structure and implementation.
Plan and implement high quality programming using Promise Planning Procedures and The Clubhouse Network Learning Model at the Teen Tech Center for Jr. High and High School age youth.
Lead activities and supervise small and large groups of youth engaged in project-based learning.
Assist the Coordinator in developing partnerships with other city departments, schools, and community organizations to bring resources and opportunities into the Teen Tech Center.
Participate in trainings and self-directed learning in order to develop skills for using technology in the Teen Tech Center including professional video and photo equipment, music recording tools, graphic design programs, etc.
Work with Coordinator to plan and schedule experiential learning opportunities (field trips and program visits) for youth in collaboration with other Promise Programs
Communicate with Center Coordinator about all interactions with youth, families, partners, and updates on program development

Represents Promise South Salt Lake with positivity, dignity, and professionalism
Adhere to Promise Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct to create a safe, inclusive, equitable, and professional environment for youth, families, volunteers, staff, and partner organizations (i.e. schools, city departments, United Way of Salt Lake, higher education institutions, and others.)
Ensures safety and order of youth, staff, and volunteers including proper check-in and check-out procedures
Addresses behavior needs in the Teen Tech Center using appropriate behavior management techniques, problem solving skills, and functional understanding of youth development.
Maintains cleanliness of all program areas
Attends all appropriate meetings for the position as assigned
Works to resolve any disputes with professionalism
Ensures proper utilization of budget
Represents Promise SSL in related opportunities with SSL City Departments
Works at city-sponsored events as assigned.These are scheduled in advance, usually Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
