The Sandy Club “A Safe Place for Boys & Girls” is an Out of School Time (After School) program in Sandy, Utah. We provide our members a safe place where educational and recreational opportunities are offered to help develop and build self-confidence, social skills, respect for others and positive leadership skills. Job Overview
Assists with development, implementation and management of Sandy Club programming. Development, implementation, supervision and evaluation of activities in various program areas. Provides leadership, supervision and evaluation of program staff and volunteers. Maintains and seeks out positive relationships with community partners. Administrative tasks such as record keeping, data accumulation and calendaring. Must be willing to acquire twenty hours of professional development each year.

Monday thru Thursday 10:00AM to 6:00PM
Friday 10:00AM to 5:00PM

Youth Schedule
Monday thru Thursday 2:45 PM to 5:45PM
Friday 1:00PM to 4:45PM

Responsibilities and Duties
• Create Positive Environment for Youth by:
• Promoting participation of all age groups
• Using positive guidance and role modeling for youth to help them make appropriate decisions
• Ensuring that club standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
• Overseeing of planning to ensure the development of youth in areas such as STEM, Physical Education, Social Emotional Wellness, Arts and Science.
• Helping to maintain Club spaces to ensure they are clean and well maintained
• Works with Executive Director on Hiring, Training and Supervision of Staff
• Train staff in areas such as:
• Job responsibilities
• Ethics in caring for youth
• Licensing requirements
• Best Practice
• Health & Safety
• Sandy Club Policies and Procedures.
• Work with staff in planning and implementing programming in developmentally appropriate ways for assigned age groups
• Conduct annual staff evaluations
• Ensure staff have all required yearly training
• Scheduling and Management of Building Usage by Community Organizations

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Development & Family Studies, Public Administration or another applicable field. A combination of education and work experience may be substituted one for the other based on two-year experience to 1-year of education basis
• Two years’ experience in program management, preferably in a non-profit youth agency or child care setting
• Knowledge of budget and record keeping
• Knowledge of child/adolescent development
• Knowledge of social media management
• Ability to use a personal computer and related software programming
• Must be able to pass a background check
• CPR and First Aid certifications will be required
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
