Organization: Tennis and Tutoring Program
The Tennis and Tutoring Program, a free, afterschool, sports-based educational program for youth, is hiring a Coach/Site Manager to support our program site in West Valley City at Hillside Elementary. The main objectives of this position are to provide high-quality, effective on-court tennis instruction for students and to serve as a point-person for families, volunteers, and site staff. The preferred candidate will have experience in tennis as both a player and an instructor, demonstrate interest in and talent for working with youth, excel at working both independently and on a team, and be dedicated to advancing our organization through dedication and integrity.

++ Job Requirements ++
-Lead tennis instruction using the 10 and Under Tennis Method/Net Generation (training provided)
Create, implement, and evaluate effective tennis lesson plans for youth to ensure learning and growth
-Work with leadership to develop evaluation methods to track athletic, academic, and personal progress of participants
-Work with local high schools and nonprofits to recruit and train volunteers
-Supervise volunteers, tutors, and classroom teachers
-Work with volunteers and teachers to lead students in social-emotional-learning curriculum each day (Every Monday Matters)
-Create and effectively distribute communications materials to students and families (email/text/print)
-Maintain accurate student records and guarantee confidentiality of student information
-Oversee and enforce organization and school policies and procedures to ensure student safety
-Order/deliver/maintain/repair equipment and supplies as needed
-Work with Executive Director, staff, volunteers, and school in planning and supporting special events
-Support organization through marketing, fundraising, or community outreach activities as assigned
-Support the program objectives, goals, and values as set by Executive Director and Board of Directors
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must have access to a tablet/smartphone/computer with internet access
-Candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check
-Applicants must be 18 years of age or older

++ Preferred Qualifications ++
-Tennis playing and instructing experience
-Experience in developing and facilitating youth programs
-Experience working with youth from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
-Training or work experience with education or community focused organizations
-Enthusiastic, energetic, and compassionate, with strong interpersonal communication skills
-Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
-Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise, train, evaluate, and motivate staff or volunteers
-Computer skills, especially cloud-based application experience like G Suite (Google Drive); email, social media, survey creation and analysis, spreadsheets and word processing

This is a part time, seasonal position beginning August 27 and ending May 24. Renewable year to year based on performance.

$18-$20 per hour. 16-20 hours per week (depends on program schedule, candidate availability, and experience)

Candidate must be onsite Monday-Thursday, September-May from 3:30-6:00pm (active program time 4-5:30pm) with additional 6 hours flexible administrative time for lesson prep, communications, and meetings.
