Summer Camp Assistant

At Play-Well TEKnologies we strive to build problem-solving skills, provide an opportunity for creative expression, foster a greater appreciation of how things work, and encourage the qualities of inquisitiveness, self-reliance, and self-confidence in children. We do this in the context of fun-filled engineering and architectural projects, activities that both the children and our instructors enjoy!
Summer Camp Assistants must be at least age 16. We are accepting applications now for assistants to support our summer camps throughout the Greater Salt Lake City area and Provo area. Availability for assistants in each area would be:
- Salt Lake area: June 4 - August 17
- Provo area: June 25 - August 17
As an assistant, you will make an important contribution to helping our summer camps run smoothly as we help kids learn, innovate and have fun! Assistants help the lead Instructor with the basic operations of the camp, guide students through their projects, help supervise clean-up and sign-in/sign-out each day. Most camps run for 7 to 8 hours a day, from 9am-4pm.
Qualifications
Our Summer Camp Assistants must:
be at least 16 years of age (or older in some areas).
have reliable transportation.
have a flexible summer schedule, ideally available full-time for at least 8 weeks, and preferably available full-time for all 10 weeks.
have experience working with children and love it!
be dependable, and prompt.
be able to lift 30 - 50 lbs.
have interest in engineering and architecture.
enjoy building with LEGO®.
Hours:
During the summer, part time, 20 - 40 hours per week.
