Description

The Strengthening Families Program: For Parents and Youth 10-14 (SFP 10-14) creates unity by teaching skills for parents, youth, and family.

This program is for all families with youth ages 10 to 14.

SFP 10-14 Course Schedule:

  • Wednesdays: 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, & 2/22
  • From 6 PM to 8:30 PM
  • USU Extension, Auditorium & Classroom (Inside the Tooele County Health Dept building)

What does SFP 10-14 teach?

  • Nurturing and effective discipline for parents.
  • Goal setting for youth.
  • Peer pressure resistance skills.

How is SFP 10-14 taught?

  • The class is interactive and includes games, group discussion, and team building.
  • Taught once per week over 7 weeks. Each week consists of a community dinner, parent only class, youth only class, and a family class.
  • *For children under the age of 10, free childcare will be provided onsite.*

REGISTRATION FOR THIS PROGRAM IS CONFIRMED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS for Tooele County residents. In order to provide the most effective and interactive experience possible, each cohort will be limited to 20 families, based on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be multiple sessions scheduled, so if you do not make the registration for the class starting on January 11th, you will be placed on a waitlist and we will contact you about joining a future class. We will let you know by January 6, 2023 if you will be in the January class or a class beginning at a later date.
