3rd Annual Afterschool Day on the Hill

Attend or host a table at the 3rd Annual Afterschool Day on the Hill on February 13, 2020.

We plan on showing our love for afterschool programs in Utah by filling the Capitol Rotunda with afterschool programs, students, staff, and parents, who are excited to share the benefits of afterschool programs with policymakers.

We encourage you to show your love for afterschool by hosting a program table at the Afterschool Day on the Hill. We have limited space, so sign up soon! Registration closes February 7, 2020. During the Day on the Hill, you will have the opportunity to meet with your legislators, participate in a short program, and highlight your organization. Please invite parents and other stakeholders to attend.

If hosting a table, please come prepared to:

• Display your program outcomes, activities, and highlights.
• Advocate for afterschool programs in Utah.
• Give your program elevator speech.
• Bring your youth and help them prepare to demonstrate a STEM or entrepreneurial activity.
• Bring 1-2 youth who can present why their program has impacted them (in two or three sentences!) or have your students perform.

We have limited funds for travel reimbursement. Please indicate on the registration form if your organization could benefit from travel reimbursement assistance. Please remember to reach out to your policymakers before the Day on the Hill to introduce yourself and to schedule an appointment. You can also utilize our resources at utahafterschool.org/advocacy to ensure you have a successful session!
