When completed, the UAN School-Age Credential is valid for three years. To maintain a valid Credential, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Complete 90 hours of work experience in a licensed center-based setting with school-age youth within the past three years.
- Complete and provide documentation for 45 clock hours of training related to working with school-age youth within the past three years.
- Provide documentation of current first aid and adult/child CPR certification. (may be included in the 45 hours of required training)
- Maintain a current Ambassador level membership (free) or higher with the National Afterschool Association.
- Subscribe to the Utah Afterschool Network newsletter.
- Provide a current Letter of Recommendation from a coworker or director with firsthand knowledge of the candidate’s skills and abilities in working with school-age youth.
