Help Us Advocate for Kids

At UAN, we know afterschool works for Utah kids, families, schools, and communities. We advocate on national, state, and local levels for issues and policies that impact afterschool programs. As a parent, afterschool program staff, youth in a program, or community member who wants to support afterschool, your voice and concerns are so important in helping policymakers and local leaders understand how programs impact youth, working families, and the community at large.  

Your Voice Matters 

We've assembled a number of tools and resources to support meaningful and informative conversations with policymakers for afterschool providers, parents, kids, and community members. Whether you are trying to find out who your legislators or members of congress are, looking for data and research to better inform your case, or you want specific talking points, scripts, or templates to reach out to your policymakers, we have you covered!

At UAN, we know afterschool works for Utah youth, families, schools, and communities. We advocate on national, state, and local levels for issues and policies that impact afterschool programs.
