Job Description: Our youth need caring, responsible adults with a willingness to learn. If you have ever wanted to help make a positive difference, our Club is the place for YOU. The Midvale Boys & Girls Club is looking for a FUN, energetic, and motivated individual to monitor and mentor the children we serve from the Road Home Family Shelter in Midvale. This part-time position will be responsible for transporting children to and from the Shelter and will occupy their time working with these individual kids on their specific needs. Many of these children require extra positive attention and help with participation in activities and academics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plans and implements activities with youth (ages 5 – 18)
• Manage and lead a group of 15-25 youth
• Focus on youth enrichment and safety
• Transport youth to and from the Road Home Family Shelter in Midvale
• Leads safe, enriching activities that are both fun and educational
• Reports and communicates issues and successes to Club Director

Schedule: Summer and School year: M-F 1:30-6: 30 pm

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be 21 years of age - HS Diploma or GED REQUIRED

- Must pass a background check - Must pass a drug screening

- Able to attend required training - Must be able to drive and have a good driving record

Desired Qualifications:

- CPR/First Aid Certified**

- Interest in working with homeless youth population

- Social Work classes or work experience

Compensation:

Part-time hourly position between $10-$12/hr
