WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, Monday-Friday

Overview:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Utah, St. George City, provides afterschool programs to kids throughout the St.
George area. The Afterschool Programs are located on school-site locations and generally run M-F from afterschool to 5:30 or 6:00 pm during the school year. While at the program, youth receive a blend of academic and enrichment activities. The Afterschool Program serves youth in Elementary Schools. The elementary sites are licensed childcare sites. In addition, this program provides healthy food and snacks to youth at the sites.

Job Summary:
The Program Director provides program oversight, monitoring, technical assistance, support and guidance to program staff at the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Utah sites as they implement the program to ensure it achieves its goals. This position develops and provides training to program staff; supports weekly report management; onboards new program staff; assists and supports the efforts of the area director in official work capacity; ensures quality improvement; and provides effective communication among program staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Area Director in providing quality services for the staff and families in the programs.
Provide support to the following program staff (program managers, youth development professionals,
Americorps members and volunteers).

Assist with recruitment and hiring of program staff; onboard and prepare staff to enter the work environment.
Develop a program plan in collaboration with the Area Director, based on grant proposal, program results and quality improvement needs, student interests, funding, parent input, faculty suggestions, etc.
Maintain reporting system preparations weekly and support staff in successfully completing their grant reporting requirements.
Conduct site visits during the program period for each program site at least two times monthly. Prepare a written assessment of the site’s performance per site visit with regard to grant deliverables. Report results to the Area Director and create goals to support the site effort.
Develop internal reporting systems and tools for use in capturing program sites’ accomplishment of stated goals and objectives and reporting required information to the administrative team.
Develop positive working relationships with Club staff and be responsive to their requirements and requests.
Provide ongoing technical assistance, guidance and support to Boys & Girls Club staff with regard to the
Club’s implementation of the program.

Maintain a positive relationship with Boys & Girls Clubs leadership and provide updates and reports on program performance to the Area Director.
Provide recognition to staff for successful performance results.
Perform related administrative functions for the program as needed and as assigned by the Area Director.
Adhere to organizational policies and procedures as described in BGC Policies and Procedures, Employee
Handbook, Code of Ethics Policy, and elsewhere.

Bachelor’s degree or 60 college semester hours with 12 of the hours in child-related courses; or 24 months’ experience and 12 college semester hours in child-related courses; thoroug
