FAMILY ENGAGEMENT DURING A PANDEMIC AND BEYOND

Working with families at this moment might feel overwhelming with everything you already have on your plate. What if, instead of creating a new space, we use family engagement to enhance what you are already working on? Reaching out to families can provide powerful insight into what your youths’ lives are like during this time. This new knowledge can help you create lessons and plans that are meaningful and relevant. We will discuss family engagement best practices and hear from the Afterschool Program Manager for Salt Lake County Youth Services, Danielle Latta, on her current strategies.
