Grants.gov Grants.gov is your source to FIND and APPLY for federal government grants. There are over 1,000 grant programs offered by all federal grant making agencies.
Afterschool.gov Afterschool.gov can connect you to information on federal grants, how to organize a program and other resources.
Faith-Based And Community Initiatives This booklet provides some basic information about the Federal grants process. It also lists over 170 programs that may interest your organization. Grants programs are organized into general categories ranging from programs for elders and the homeless to those that serve at-risk youth and people making the transition from welfare to work.
The Kresge Foundation Focuses on "bricks and mortar" funding as well as capital campaign matching and challenge grants to strengthen all kinds of nonprofits.
Verizon Foundation Focus on literacy, violence-prevention. Also offers volunteers and in-kind contributions.
Grants for Youth Promoting Collaboration The Southern Poverty Law Center is sponsoring the Mix It Up Grants program, which provides $500 for youth-directed activist projects that identify, cross and challenge social boundaries in schools and communities.

National Endowment for the Human An independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities.
The Educational Foundation of America The Educational Foundation of America (EFA) provides grants for projects related to the environment, the crisis of human overpopulation and reproductive freedom, Native Americans, arts, education, medicine and human services. Applicants are required to send a letter of inquiry as the first step.
C-Span Classroom Grants

For educators who want a videotape (or tapes) of C-SPAN programming. Videotape or tapes are provided. K-12 or college/university educators are eligible.

GTECH After School Advantage

A national community investment program to provide community agencies and public schools with state-of-the-art computer labs.

Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(C)(3) community agencies or public schools that serve minority and at-risk children aged 5 to 15 and that house an after-school program in need of a computer lab.
